Why now, at (almost) 38?
It’s not a sudden decision.
I didn’t wake up one morning wanting more freedom.
This has been a long, quiet process.
One that started back in 2011, when I began my career in corporate in London - working for some of the biggest insurance companies in the world at 23, while secretly dreaming I was working at Airbnb.
From the outside, it looked like success. The girl from that tiny French city made it in a big city!
But inside, there was always a small fire (a craving even) - a pull toward something different. Something freer. Something more creative.
Over the years, I slowly started listening to it.
The comfort that wasn’t really freedom
My corporate career gave me the illusion of financial freedom.
Stability.
A good salary.
The kind of comfort you’re told to be grateful for - and not question too much.
But the more comfortable I became, the more I realised something important:
This safe spot wasn’t taking me where I wanted to go.
It wasn’t building the life I imagined.
It wasn’t creating space for creativity, flexibility, or freedom.
And the more I saw that, the stronger my desire for real freedom became - not just financial, but freedom of time, energy, and choice.
Flipping over my life cards
If you follow me here, I’ll be sharing reflections on what I like to call:
“Flipping over my life cards.”
The slow process of questioning everything I assumed was fixed.
Career. Schedule. Lifestyle. Location. Success.
And gently redesigning it.
A pivotal year
Hi, I’m Pauline.
I’m turning 38 in a few weeks, and I’m in the middle of a massive life transformation.
The next year feels pivotal.
Not dramatic.
Not impulsive.
Just deeply intentional.
I want to document it.
Share what I’m learning.
Hear your stories too.
From one life to another
From London to Sydney. 🌍
From 9-6 to recreating my own schedule from scratch.
From comfort to freedom.
From rushing to intentional living.
This space is where I’ll explore all of it: gently, honestly, and in real time.
If you’re in a season of change too (big or small), you’re very welcome here.
We’re flipping life’s cards together. 🌱
